Kristina Werner's CI #9
***Updated***
Kristina Werner issued another Color Inspiration challenge. I love these colors. Don't know why I was inspired to do a love card with these colors, but I love the graphics of this stamp set so I decided to go with it! The colors to be used are: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Safron, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise.
I don't have a lot of time to detail everything as I am on my way out to a school event for my daughter. So I'm just gonna gonna leave you with the card and add the recipe a little later on. But the concept is quite fun. When the card is closed properly, the 2 scalloped circles are superimposed, but the one inside a little bit bigger. It's a neat effect. I saw this sketch on Hero Arts a few weeks ago.
Oh, and I'm using my Studio in a Box for the first time (thanks Kathy V.! you rock!)... still struggling with the lighting but I'll get it one day. Enjoy!
Update: OK, I'm back from my daughter's school's gala. The students put on a good; Stuuph was the official photographer. So... more about the card. I love that format. It was fun to try. I especially love how the stamping on the Old Olive cardstock turned out. I used the French version of the Always stamp set to create it. The saying inside the card is actually a one-line stamp that I've broken down into two using a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker to color the words I wanted. It's a 2-step operation but with the Stamp-a-ma-jig it was a breeze! The scalloped circles were punched with the Extra Jumbo and Mega Scalloped Circles from Marvy Uchida. The rest of the supplies are all Stampin' Up! The little punched flower inside was done with a retired SU punch. I've used Old Olive classic ink on the Old Olive cardstock and Basic Black on the Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Card base is Tempting Turquoise textured cardstock. The brads are So Safron, Real Red and Olive Olive. The ribbon is a piece of 5/8" Old Olive gros-grain.

Your card is awesome! I will have to try that z-fold thing sometime soon.

Oh, I saw that same Hero Arts video! I loved it...they were tired and in their hotel with limited supplies, right? I love your card too. I'll have to try the same type of layout. Congratulations on getting into Kristina's Top 10!
