I'm back!!! My brother is finally home and recuperating. He suffered tremedous memory loss and we are hoping that it is temporary. It'll be nice to have him with us for Christmas - what a blessing!
Lots to talk about -- let's see... I took a few minutes today to participate in Kristina Werner's Color Challenge to get my creative juices going.
The colors we had to use were Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Bordering Blue, Sage Shadow and Certainly Celery. I decided to go with a stamp from Hero Arts that I bought a while back.
The background of my card is Sage Shadow with the same image stamped in Versamark and embossed with clear powder. The sentiment is from the Say It in Style from CTMH and the ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.
The image was partially stamped with Certainly Celery and I removed some of the ink on the little circles at the bottom with a blender pen. I stamped it unto Very Vanilla cardstock and shaded the rest with ink from markers and a blender pen. I find the intensity of the colors from a marker is more pronounced than from the pads. Maybe it's just me, but that's the impression I get!

On a personal note, my daughter Stuuph has embarked on the world of Vlogs. You can find her channel, I Can Haz Vlog, here... she and her friend Cody are going back and forth and give each other late posting penalties. They are quite funny! So go on over and leave her comments. She'll be happy.
Funny story of the day: I went to my dealership today to get my SUMMER tires installed... needless to say that the guys looked at me weird. Just so you know, there's a snow storm going on in the Montreal region right now. I had to explain that they needed to install my winter tires/mags unto my new car which I'm going to pick up tomorrow!!! Woohoo!!! I'm still getting a Honda Civic but a 2009 model instead of a 2006 model. Same options, same gadgets AND they are absorbing the cost of repairs for the dents my beloved son and husband both did on it. Not bad for the same monthly payments! If you're in the market for buying a card, you should check into it soon. The low interest rates are amazing!
