i've created this piece for a commission and it's a bittersweet separation. this was pure indulgence -- from the concept, to the drawing, the painting, the texturizing and shading. i loved it all! the process of this painting was recorded and you can watch the video over at my Patreon page HERE.
i'm back in my studio and it feels good. i just got back from a month in sunny and warm florida, helping out a friend and although i was in very good company and in a beautiful setting, i am happy to be back home and back to a more regular schedule. here are a few paintings i did while i was away.
i apologize for the low-light quality of the photos... it's the best i could do under poor lighting circumstances.
i can't believe the 12 days of xmas are already over! i treated myself to a fun Copic markers session for this one.
